Texas Continues to Lag behind Nation in Census Participation

As of March 30th, the Census 2010 participation rate for Texas was at 44% compared to 50% for the entire U.S. Many of the cities and counties, including some of the largest ones in the Capital Area region are also lagging behind the state rate.

Here's a look at the rate for cities in the Capital area region above population of 10,000 according to the last Census estimate. The chart also includes the value from last Tuesday, March 23rd.

Here's what the rate looks like for Capital Area counties.



And here are the cities in the Capital Region with the highest participation rate as of March 30th.



Lastly, here's how the 20 largest cities in Texas are doing in terms of Census 2010 participation.
